Kitchen envy alert!

Grant and Andrea from Abbots Langley, Hertfordshire, were looking to renovate their kitchen and Tanisha was just the right lady for the task! They asked for a modern kitchen that was a bit special, and that's exactly what they got! Tanisha put her thinking cap on and created this lovely design which was then fitted by Joe Caruso from Caruso Home Solutions.

Andrea was determined that having glossy units was the way to go, so as soon as they both set eyes on the glass-fronted doors from Arredo3, they knew they had to have them! A two-tone kitchen was chosen, with contrasting light and dark grey units. The coveted glass-fronted doors have a handleless design with a grip profile opening for a thoroughly modern and minimalist look.

The unit colours positively complement the Bianco Calacatta worktop from Silestone which has striking marble veins over a greyish luminous background. The worktop is undeniably an eye-catching feature, especially as it is followed through with a matching splashback and waterfall panel to perfectly finish off the end of the peninsular.

Tanisha’s clients favoured light wood or wood effect flooring. They selected NovaBell My Space Bamboo imitation wood planks from our Italian stock ranges, a great choice! The porcelain tiles provide the look and texture of real wood but do not require the tedious upkeep of a solid wooden floor.

Grant and Andrea really wanted a Quooker boiling water tap in their new kitchen. They decided on Quooker's Fusion Square Tap and added all the bells and whistles so the single tap not only supplies hot, cold and boiling water but also dispenses chilled and sparkling water too! Having instant hot and chilled drinks is always a plus, and now cooking pasta or blanching vegetables can be done in record time! What a great addition to their kitchen!

New appliances were purchased for the kitchen and adjoining utility room from Bosch including a gas hob, microwave oven, built-in freezer and condenser tumble dryer.

Rows of spotlights present the kitchen in its best light, and we declare it looks amazing! The open-plan room is sectioned off and framed with those gorgeous glass lanterns above the worktop. It makes for the perfect area for meal preparation as well as a spot to work on a laptop or relax with a cup of tea!

Check out the photos taken before the renovation. The room is so much brighter and appears more spacious now… it’s surely a place where anyone would enjoy spending their time!

Below are the rendered images that Tanisha created with computer-aided design software to give her clients a visualisation during the planning stage. As can be seen, all went according to plan and now Andrea and Grant can boast a spectacular kitchen (and one to set off the 'kitchen envy alert')!
